A mock book cover made for “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” to fit the theme and overall story arch in the book. I used traditional ink to make ink spots. I then took those ink spots into Adobe Photoshop and created brushes that I used to layer the mass of black ink and paint the cuckoo bird.
An image for Arctic Heating and Cooling to post on Facebook and Instagram. Created entirely in Adobe Illustrator, I used elements from the company’s logo to draw an illustration and hand picked the font to match its style.
A two page magazine spread made to convey paleontological information about the Struthiomimus dinosaur and its predators. I researched this dinosaur and hand drew three illustrations highlighting interesting discoveries about the animal’s life. I then used Adobe InDesign to layout those illustrations with blocks of accompanying text as well as icons I created in Adobe Illustrator.
A coupon ad made for Arctic Heating and Cooling to be distributed to members of a networking group. I used fonts and colors from the company’s website to highlight deals for these members. I created masks over images of employees working in the field to pair with them in Adobe Illustrator.
A mock business card for Nike made to exaggerate the company’s iconic “swoosh” logo. I mimicked the colors from their website and created a shape that mimics the shape and angle of their logo in Adobe Illustrator. I then used Adobe InDesign to organize the information and set up proper crop and bleed marks.
A mock postcard promoting a petition that The North Face supported on Change.org to make Earth Day recognized as a national holiday. While researching the company, I found a cause important to them and decided to use that to practice using their brand guide. I used their wide landscape style of imagery with a photo of my own on the backside. I used their copy from the Change.org website to create the postcard in Adobe InDesign.
